No, sometimes I don’t know me. Others tell me who I am. Some of the projections sink in subconsciously and become me.
But that is not me.
When I strip away the labels and the dark beliefs, who am I?
That is the me I know. That is the me who guides me.
That is the me I aspire to be.
Some day, I will tell my children what it is all about. I will tell them what they learned in kindergarten is just that… kindergarten learning. Grouping red squares together and purple triangles together is helpful, but it is not the end game. The next level of learning is to dig a little deeper and look at each red square individually. Is the color of this square exactly red? Is it even a perfect square?
How can a label be both harmful and helpful?
